چکیده
Annotation. Malignant and benign skin neoplasms are multifactorial diseases, the development of which is perhaps most related to environmental factors. The search for constitutional markers predicting occurrence these cancers has become one promising areas research in field oncology. aim study was establish features transverse body sizes Ukrainian men with nevi. In (aged 22-35 years) nevi (melanocyte simple – 34, melanocyte dysplastic 27, congenital 14 non-melanocyte 17), diameters pelvic were determined. control group consisted similar size 82 healthy from database center National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya. Statistical processing results performed license package “Statistica 5.5” using non-parametric evaluation methods. Practically had significantly lower values than nevi, middle thoracic, thoracic anteroposterior mid-sternal torso on background greater shoulder width. Also practically interspinous, intercristal intertrochanteric distances smaller patients only interspinous compared found: higher all distances; or tendency shoulder-width less important melanocytic shoulder-width; tendencies diameter, width distance. differences between men, as well sick phenotypic that, together other anthropometric indicators, identify risk groups possibility

Detection of p53 mutations in benign and dysplastic nevi.
We have examined melanocytic cells derived directly from fresh biopsy tissue for the presence of p53 mutations. Using selective media that permits growth of melanocytes and inhibits growth of fibroblasts and keratinocytes, we established short-term, primary cultures of melanocytes from skin biopsies of common acquired nevi, dysplastic nevi, and from metastatic melanoma. Using PCR-single-strande...
متن کاملDNA-methylation profiling distinguishes malignant melanomas from benign nevi
DNA methylation, an epigenetic alteration typically occurring early in cancer development, could aid in the molecular diagnosis of melanoma. We determined technical feasibility for high-throughput DNA-methylation array-based profiling using formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues for selection of candidate DNA-methylation differences between melanomas and nevi. Promoter methylation was evaluat...
متن کاملAllelotypes of primary cutaneous melanoma and benign melanocytic nevi.
A multistep genetic model of tumorigenesis, based on genetic alterations in benign and primary malignant lesions, has been proposed for neoplasms such as colonic carcinoma. However, evidence for a similar genetic progression in melanoma has relied heavily on findings in cultured lesions or metastases. We have investigated every autosomal arm for loss of heterozygosity in 41 primary cutaneous me...
متن کاملHigh expression of cytoplasmic phosphorylated CSE1L in malignant melanoma but not in benign nevi: phosphorylated CSE1L for the discrimination between melanoma and benign nevi.
Melanoma is difficult to treat when it has metastasized. Discrimination between melanoma and benign nevi in melanocytic lesions is crucial for identifying melanomas and consequently improving melanoma treatment and prognosis. The chromosome segregation 1-like (CSE1L) protein has been implicated in cancer progression and is regulated by phosphorylation by extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/...
